Job summary

FUSE is launching a California statewide biomass utilization grant program and seeks an Executive Fellow to design and implement the $50 million initiative. The Fellow will build inclusive grantmaking strategies, technical assistance models, and long-term evaluation tools to promote low-carbon construction and regenerative agriculture while strengthening rural economies.

The 12-month fellowship begins October 26, 2026 and ends October 22, 2027.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in organizational transformation and change management.
• Strong ability to synthesize information into actionable recommendations.
• Experience developing strategic and operational project management plans.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a statewide biomass utilization grant program framework.
• Engage public, private, tribal, and nonprofit partners to inform grantmaking.
• Develop grant solicitation, evaluation criteria, and equity-focused access strategies.
• Prepare long-term sustainability tools including monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
