Job summary

FUSE is seeking an Executive Fellow to design and launch California’s statewide biomass utilization grant program, in partnership with the Department of Conservation. The Fellow will conduct landscape analyses, engage diverse partners, and develop inclusive program frameworks that advance climate resilience and rural economic development.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in organizational transformation and change management.
• Synthesizes complex information into clear and concise recommendations and action-oriented implementation plans.
• Develops and effectively implements strategic and operational project management plans.
• Generates innovative, data-driven, and result-oriented solutions to complex challenges.
• Responds quickly to changing ideas, responsibilities, expectations, trends, strategies, and other processes.
• Communicates effectively verbally and in writing and excels in active listening and conversing.

Responsibilities

• Design and Launch Statewide Biomass Grant Program framework and evaluation criteria.
• Develop Education and Equity Strategy for Industry Growth in biomass utilization.
• Establish Technical Assistance and Support Program for program hosts and applicants.
• Strengthen interagency and stakeholder collaboration across DOC, CAL FIRE, Energy Commission, and Governor’s Office.
• Build a performance monitoring and sustainability plan to measure outcomes and inform improvements.
• Engage Tribal nations, communities, and private partners to ensure inclusive program design.
