Job summary

Sotheby’s is seeking a Senior Facilities Manager to lead the management of hard and soft services for the New York complex and off-site storage. You will deputise for the department head, ensuring contracts are met, budgets controlled, and safety standards upheld, while coordinating with Risk, Security and Auction Operations.

You will drive continuous improvement, manage space planning with OfficeSpace, supervise the FM Service provider and contractors, and maintain a high standard of gallery

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in facilities management, real estate, or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing multi-property FM operations.
• Strong vendor and contract management with budget oversight.
• Knowledge of safety, regulatory compliance and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead hard and soft services for Sotheby’s New York complex and off-site storage.
• Deputise for the department head as required and coordinate with FM service provider and contractors.
• Develop and enforce SLAs, monitor performance, and optimise cost efficiency.
• Drive space planning and occupancy management using OfficeSpace and CAD tools.
• Ensure safety, risk mitigation and governance across facilities operations.
• Prepare management reports and maintain property documentation (O&M, inspections, licenses).
• Collaborate with Risk, Security and Auction Operations to align with business needs.
