Job summary

Google LLC in the United States is seeking a Lead, Event Security Operations, Americas to oversee strategy, governance, and execution for major global events across the Americas. The role directs distributed security teams, vendor management, and executive stakeholder alignment to ensure safety, compliance, and operational efficiency at scale.

You will coordinate with Events and Experiences, Google Cloud, YouTube, DeepMind, and other partners while acting as Incident Commander during emergencies

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in security administration, business management, emergency management, public administration, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience leading an event security organization responsible for planning and delivering security services at corporate or public sector activations, including comprehensive risk management solutions spanning the deployment of physical, technical, and operational security controls, and integration with third-party providers, federal and municipal public agencies, venue owners/managers, and production companies.
• 5 years of experience leading geographically distributed security teams and managing multi-million-dollar operational budgets and vendor-partner ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Lead distributed security team by setting OKRs, establishing career paths and fostering a mission-driven culture.
• Architect standardized governance, event security playbooks, and operating procedures while serving as the primary Incident Commander during crises.
• Collaborate with ESPI to implement defense-in-depth mitigation frameworks for High-Impact Events (HIEs).
• Cultivate relationships with internal executives and coordinate planning with external law enforcement agencies.
• Manage multi-million-dollar budgets and oversee prime security vendors for contract compliance and cost-optimization.
