Job description

Executive Event Communications Specialist, Transportation Partner Experience

Job ID: 2879616 | Amazon.com Services LLC

Do you like creating dynamic and interactive experiences that bring people together to solve problems, skill build, or learn more about a specific topic? Do you have a knack for breaking down complex business problems into easy to consume workshops or breakouts? Are you creative in your approach to finding new and exciting ways to share content and information?

Key job responsibilities
  1. A natural storyteller with excellent writing skills.
  2. Comfortable taking macro messages and narratives and breaking them down into smaller, digestible topics.
  3. Experience building a cohesive content program from scratch and shepherding it from ideation to execution.
  4. Work closely with speakers to help craft their talks and presentations based on specific event goals/messages.
  5. A creative mind who likes bringing new ideas to existing projects and pushing teams to try new things.
  6. Comfortable getting deep into a business line to understand wins, pain points, and opportunities that inform the overall content strategy and individual remarks.

A day in the life

The Transportation Partner Experience (TPX) team supports a large portfolio of internal and partner events ranging from 50-4,000 attendees. As a content strategist for TPX, you’ll build online and offline content experiences that educate, motivate, and connect our audience to one another and to Amazon.

This individual will own the end-to-end development and execution of the event content strategy. During the ideation phase, the strategist will work across business lines to understand the core narratives and any announcements that ladder back to the macro themes. The content strategy for each event will be brought together in a comprehensive plan showcasing the overall run of show, individual story lines for each speaker, and all-encompassing content messages. This document becomes the playbook for team members and speakers to operate from.

As content shifts from ideation to execution, this individual remains an active participant, working closely with speakers and their teams developing content and scripts, providing feedback throughout the content creation process. Feedback should be crisp, concise, and aid teams in ensuring presentations are at the right altitude, bring life to underlying narratives, are engaging, and thread back to other presentations/event touch points for a holistic story.

About the team

The Transportation Partner Experience team builds innovative and engaging community-focused products for internal and external Amazon partners, including the Delivery Service Partner Program. Small businesses are critical to many aspects of Amazon’s ecosystem and TPX helps these partners be successful by building communities that connect, inform, and inspire the ecosystem of entrepreneurs and business owners who work in harmony with us to improve delivery flexibility, speed and reliability for our customers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience.
  2. Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
  3. Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Experience using customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs.
  2. Experience utilizing systems and tools involving email, web, analytics, and CRM (Marketo, Tableau, Salesforce, etc.) for targeting, segmentation, reporting for demand generation.
