Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking an experienced Event Center General Manager for Black Rock Mountain Event Center at Black Rock Mountain Resort in Heber City, Utah. The role leads operations, staffing, safety, and revenue strategy to deliver premier guest and event experiences.

You will coordinate with Resort leadership, drive sales and marketing plans, manage budgets, and ensure contractual compliance while maintaining exceptional standards of service for a diverse slate of events.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in event venue or hospitality operations.
• Experience coordinating complex events (public/private, sports, trade shows).
• Knowledge of arena operations and guest service standards.
• Experience with ice-related venue operations preferred.
• Ability to lead commercial strategy and revenue management.
• Experience increasing venue rentals and profitability.
• Strong financial acumen and budgeting experience.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and risk management.
• Ability to communicate with Owner reps, Resort leadership and partners.
• Proficiency with business planning and ticketing systems.
• Ability to build community relationships to support events.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operation of the Event Center and arena upkeep.
• Coordinate with Resort leadership for stand-alone and joint opportunities.
• Oversee sales, marketing, and booking plans for events.
• Plan event execution: staffing, security, parking, catering, box office.
• Monitor revenues, expenses, labor, and event profitability.
• Develop operating and staffing plans, budgets, and procedures.
• Establish safety procedures, evacuations, training, and SOPs.
• Coordinate with tenants, promoters, vendors, and authorities as needed.
• Support contract approvals and sponsorships with Owner authorization.
