Job summary

Amazon is seeking a client lead recruiter to shape its senior engineering talent strategy across the company. You will advise Directors and VPs, design confidential recruitment strategies, and build cross-functional talent networks to drive world-class engineering leadership hires.

In this role you will conduct thorough assessments, guide executive search processes, and partner with leadership to ensure high-quality hires while coaching teams to elevate talent capabilities, with a focus on

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive corporate or search firm recruiting with passive candidate focus
• Bachelor's degree or above
• Proven ability to recruit and hire engineering candidates
• Proven track record of managing complex executive search processes including client management, candidate development, and offer negotiation
• Experience working with senior executives and providing strategic talent counsel

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary talent advisor to Directors and VPs, educating leaders on the external senior engineering talent landscape and market dynamics
• Define and deliver recruiting strategies for critical, sometimes confidential roles with cross-organizational impact
• Identify and engage highly passive senior engineering candidates via creative sourcing
• Build and cultivate robust talent networks across technology sectors with deep industry knowledge
• Lead client update meetings on active searches with data-driven insights on progress and market conditions
• Provide candid guidance to executive leadership on senior talent matters
• Evaluate candidate fit through analysis of technical depth and leadership impact
• Conduct candidate assessments, debriefs, reference checks, and present/negotiate offers
• Coach leaders to improve senior-level talent acquisition capabilities
• Set high standards for search quality, candidate experience, and recruiting excellence
• Investigate market trends and candidate backgrounds to inform strategy
