Job summary

Groves Industrial Supply seeks a Director of Operations to strategically direct receiving, warehousing, delivery, and distribution. You will lead department heads, collaborate with the executive team, and drive continuous process improvements to maximize profitability and efficiency.

This onsite role requires a strong focus on safety, cost control, and performance metrics. The position reports to the President and is part of the executive team, with responsibility for end-to-end supply chain

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and 10+ years of related experience in operations or supply chain management; MBA or Master's degree preferred
• Industrial distribution experience required
• Financial Management and Business Acumen
• Effective communication and presentation skills
• Exceptional leadership and problem solving/analysis skills
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple departments

Responsibilities

• Develop and direct the management of fulfillment/distribution centers for fast, accurate order processing and efficient returns handling
• Manage logistics and outbound transportation; negotiate parcel freight programs
• Improve processes to generate higher ROI through workflow optimization
• Lead with financial discipline and identify key levers to improve profitability
• Plan strategically to enhance profitability, productivity and efficiency across operations
• Collaborate with executive team and department heads to align operational priorities
• Implement KPI metrics to measure and improve performance
• Promote workplace safety and participate in Corporate Safety Committee
• Drive cost reduction and waste minimization using analytical tools
• Provide leadership development and coaching for management teams
