GROVES INDUSTRIAL SUPPLY seeks a Director of Operations to drive strategy and execution across receiving, warehousing, and distribution. You will manage department heads, align with the executive team, and deliver ROI through optimized workflows and cost controls.

Responsibilities include directing fulfillment centers, negotiating freight programs, and leading cross-functional improvements while maintaining safety and operational excellence in a Houston-based environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 10+ years in operations or supply chain management; MBA preferred
• Industrial distribution experience required
• Strong financial management and business acumen
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Exceptional leadership and problem solving/analysis skills
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving performance metrics

Responsibilities

• Direct management of fulfillment/distribution centers and inventory control
• Oversee logistics and outbound transportation; negotiate freight programs
• Lead process improvements to increase ROI and efficiency
• Set strategic direction with executive team alignment
• Monitor and report on KPI metrics; drive safety and compliance
