JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking an Executive Director to lead the U.S. Gas desk research, analytics, and desk support within Global Commodities. The role translates fundamentals and market signals into actionable views for Traders, Sales, and Structuring.

You will collaborate with Technology and QR to enhance data, tooling, and reporting, delivering institutional-grade analytics and decision support for risk governance and client engagement.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead a desk research/analytics function with tangible impact on trading decisions and franchise outcomes.
• Deep expertise in U.S. Gas markets, including market structure, pricing drivers, and regional considerations.
• Experience producing actionable, time-sensitive market analysis and scenario frameworks under pressure.
• Strong governance mindset with clear escalation practices and controlled environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale a U.S. Gas desk research/analytics platform with expanded coverage and repeatable processes.
• Set operating cadence for market intelligence (pre-market, intraday, post-market) for stakeholders.
• Monitor fundamentals and market structure; translate insights into actionable positioning and event playbooks.
• Develop analytics to support portfolio construction and monetization (basis/curve diagnostics, seasonals).
• Partner with Sales/Structuring to provide market color and post-trade learnings within controls.
• Drive data, tooling, and reporting enhancements with Technology and QR to improve reliability and speed.
