Job summary

One SAFE Place seeks an Executive Director to lead survivor-centered services and strategic growth. The role reports to the Board, shaping governance, operations, and financial health while expanding partnerships and funding streams.

You will guide a skilled team, ensure trauma-informed practices, and sustain excellence across shelter, crisis hotline, and legal services for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, elder abuse, and human trafficking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience with government grants and contracts preferred.
• California driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Completion of required trainings (DV/SA) after hire if not already completed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine a multi-year strategic plan with the Board.
• Lead fundraising and manage annual budget with Finance team.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, regulatory compliance, and staffing.
• Represent organization with community partners and funders.
• Ensure survivor-centered, trauma-informed program delivery.
