Job summary

Mercy St. Louis Hospital is seeking an experienced and strategic Executive Director of Surgical Services to provide leadership oversight for surgical operations within our Level I Trauma and Burn Center.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (RN/BSN preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in the Perioperative space.
• Master’s degree strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain effective relationships with caregivers, physicians, and leadership across departments.
• Collaborate with management teams to achieve departmental goals and organizational priorities.
• Oversee inventory management systems for surgical supplies and instrumentation, ensuring appropriate par levels and communication.
• Lead human resources functions including interviewing, hiring, and staff development.
• Analyze financial and operational reports to support informed business decisions.
