Job summary

Southend Pharmacy is seeking a Director of Supply Chain to lead procurement, inventory, and warehouse operations, ensuring compliant sourcing of APIs and excipients for sterile and nonsterile preparations. The role partners with executive leadership to support growth and uninterrupted production.

The candidate will set the strategy for all supply chain activities, manage budgets, and drive KPI reporting, while building a high-performing team and ensuring regulatory compliance across USP, FDA,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of supply chain, procurement, or sourcing experience in FDA-regulated environment.
• 5+ years in a leadership role managing teams.
• Experience sourcing APIs and excipients and managing an AVL.
• Experience selecting, implementing, and optimizing ERP/warehouse systems.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi-year supply chain strategy aligned with growth, quality, and financial objectives.
• Oversee procurement, vendor qualification, and supplier relationships.
• Lead inventory and warehouse operations, including receiving and storage under controlled conditions.
• Own the supply chain budget and drive cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with USP, FDA, DEA, and DSCSA requirements.
• Build and mentor the supply chain team and implement ERP and procurement systems.
• Lead planning for new products, formulations, and capacity expansion.
