Job summary

Milwaukee Area Technical College seeks an Executive Director of Student Success and Retention to lead college-wide retention strategies, advising, counseling and career services. You will supervise staff, develop equity-focused retention plans, and oversee data and software used to support student success.

The role requires a master’s degree in education/leadership or related field and at least five years in student development and supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in education, leadership, administration or related field.
• Minimum five years in student development, retention, equity and student success.
• Five years of supervisory/administrative responsibilities including managing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead college-wide student success strategies to increase retention and completion.
• Provide leadership and supervision for Advising, Counseling and Career Services.
• Develop retention procedures, materials, and training for staff and faculty.
• Oversee student success software initiatives and data reporting.
• Manage department budget and participate in audits as needed.
• Ensure FERPA compliance and protect confidential information.
