Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Information Technology (NCDIT) is seeking an Executive Director to lead the North Carolina Longitudinal Data System. This role drives modernization, cross-agency collaboration, and data-informed decision making across education, workforce, and health outcomes for the state.

You will oversee strategy, operations, and programs, ensuring high quality, research-ready data while guiding governance, privacy, and secure access in a complex public sector environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret health and human services data and link it to outcomes and well-being
• Demonstrated knowledge of enterprise data architecture, integration, governance, privacy, and secure research access
• Skill in assessing longitudinal analysis, statistical and predictive methods, data quality, and record linkage
• Proven ability to manage teams, vendors, contracts, budgets and program priorities
