Job summary

State of Missouri in Jefferson City seeks an Executive Director for the Division of Professional Registration to lead the State Board of Accountancy and related boards. You will direct office operations, implement board decisions, and oversee licensing and investigations while coordinating regulatory activities and legal matters.

The role requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to communicate with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, or a related field.
• Ability to travel (estimated up to 10% annually) – including day, overnight, and some out-of-state travel.
• Knowledge of computer applications such as Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the executive director for the boards.
• Direct the operations of the office and implement the boards’ decisions, policies and procedures.
• Develop agendas and attend boards’ meetings.
• Schedule hearings before the boards.
• Oversee boards’ investigations and licensing.
• Assist the boards’ legal counsel with cases.
• Assist and advise the boards in developing regulations.
• Establish and maintain internal controls and processes.
• Represent the boards at meetings, testifying at legal proceedings, and presentations before the general assembly.
• Prepare financial statements of revenues, expenditures, and projections.
• Serve as custodian of records for the boards.
