Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Chicago seeks an Executive Director to lead strategic client engagement within the Small Cap Investment Banking Coverage group, delivering a full suite of products including M&A, equity, and debt advisory services.

The role focuses on companies with $100M-$200M in sales or $100M-$300M EV; reporting to the Head of the Small Cap Investment Banking Group, you will originate and execute transactions, mentor staff, and represent the firm at industry events.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years in a senior investment banking role.
• Proven track record covering Emerging Middle Market strategics and sponsors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced quantitative and analytical skills.
• Ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines; synthesize large information sets.
• Independence in managing projects within a team; professional maturity.
• Understanding of financial, legal and regulatory risks.

Responsibilities

• Originate and execute M&A, equity, and debt transactions.
• Collaborate with industry and product bankers to deliver solutions.
• Demonstrate sector experience in Industrial, Retail & Consumer and/or Business Services.
• Manage client requests and liaise with internal/external teams.
• Provide market intelligence to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Represent JPMorgan at events to pitch for mandates.
• Lead client meetings with internal partners.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to team members.
