Job summary

JPMorganChase in Chicago seeks an Associate in the Mid-Cap Financial Sponsors Group to support senior team members, build strong client relationships, and contribute to transaction execution for private equity clients.

You will collaborate with sector coverage and product bankers to prospect, pitch, and close deals, participate in due diligence, and prepare sponsor presentations to drive business development. The role emphasizes teamwork, leadership, and mentorship of Analysts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field.
• 2+ years of related experience in financial services or private equity.
• FINRA Series 79, 63, and SIE required (or within 90 days).

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior team members to prospect, pitch, and execute transactions for private equity clients.
• Support client meetings, analyze business plans, and participate in due diligence sessions.
• Assess strategic and financial merits of proposed transactions for marketing and business development.
• Assist in deal execution including structuring and negotiations of legal documents.
• Prepare sponsor presentations to support business development.
• Develop and maintain client relationships to expand JPMorganChase coverage.
• Coordinate with product partners to maximize sponsor collaboration.
• Perform sponsor portfolio reviews and summarize findings for presentations.
• Manage internal coverage processes and KPI tracking.
• Support deal closing and funding with internal teams.
• Mentor Analysts on the team.
