Job summary

The Landmark Center in Stuart, VA is seeking an Executive Director to lead our Assisted Living Facility. This full-time leadership role oversees daily operations, ensures regulatory compliance, drives occupancy, and fosters a resident-centered culture of care.

The successful candidate will balance clinical quality, financial performance, and staff development while maintaining state license requirements and a commitment to outstanding resident experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field required.
• Administrator/ALF license required (per state regulations).
• 3–5 years of leadership experience in Assisted Living, Long-Term Care, or Senior Living.
• Strong knowledge of state Assisted Living regulations and compliance standards.
• Proven experience in staff leadership, operations management, and financial oversight.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and management of the Assisted Living Facility.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations, policies, and licensing requirements for Assisted Living communities.
• Oversee daily operations including resident care, staffing, budgeting, and facility management.
• Lead and develop department managers and staff to maintain high performance and engagement.
• Maintain strong occupancy levels and community reputation through relationship building and community outreach.
• Monitor financial performance, budgets, and cost controls.
• Ensure exceptional resident satisfaction, safety, and quality of life.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and community partners.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards, surveys, and regulatory inspections.
