DeKalb County School District seeks an experienced Executive Director to provide strategic leadership for School Choice, enrollment, and online registration.

The role oversees the District's Student Assignment Project, enrollment planning, and boundary reviews, ensuring equitable access while aligning with district priorities and policy. Strong data analysis and stakeholder collaboration are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in teaching or school administration required.
• Demonstrated experience in student assignment, enrollment management, school choice administration, or related educational operations preferred.
• Valid Georgia Professional Standards Commission approved certificate in educational leadership at level L5, NL-5, PL-6 or above required, or meet the eligibility requirement for a Support Personnel License from the Georgia PSC.

Responsibilities

• Directs strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation of School Choice programs and initiatives.
• Oversees and improves districtwide online registration systems and enrollment processes.
• Monitors enrollment and participation trends and recommends programmatic improvements based on data analysis.
• Collaborates with district leaders, school administrators, and external partners to improve enrollment services and eliminate barriers to access.
• Ensures school choice processes are transparent, equitable, and aligned with Board policy and district priorities.
• Leads modernization of online registration systems and enrollment procedures.
• Collaborates with technology teams and external vendors to improve system functionality and customer experience.
• Develops streamlined processes that reduce enrollment barriers and improve services for students and families.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local requirements related to student enrollment, records management, and registration practices.
• Oversees planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of the District's Student Assignment Project.

Education

Master's degree in educational leadership

Georgia PSC certificate in educational leadership (L5/NL-5/PL-6 or higher)
