Job summary

Summit Public Schools is seeking an Executive Director for the Washington candidate pool to lead school strategy, operations, and outcomes. This role ensures rigorous instructional leadership, effective enrollment, and data-driven improvement across programs.

The Executive Director will manage on-site operations, budgets, and partnerships, while advancing Summit’s mission and personalized learning focus through strong coaching and collaboration with faculty and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• Master’s Degree in Education, Educational Leadership or equivalent required.
• Teaching Credential in California or another US state required.
• Administrative Credential in California or another US state required.

Responsibilities

• Create a school-based vision aligned with Summit Public Schools’ mission and set measurable goals.
• Lead all internal and external stakeholders to implement the vision effectively.
• Provide instructional leadership and oversee on-site operations and administrative duties.
• Support student enrollment and maintain accurate student records and compliance.
• Foster anti-bias, anti-racist school culture and strong community partnerships.
• Oversee budget development, fundraising goals and school accreditation processes.
