Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking an Executive Director for Global Sanctions Compliance to lead the Block and Reject organization, overseeing operational execution, governance, and improvement initiatives. You will manage a distributed team across Delaware and India, drive modernization, and ensure strong controls, regulatory compliance, and efficiency in sanctions-related activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of operations leadership experience in financial services or similarly regulated environments.
• Proven experience leading large, geographically distributed teams, including offshore operations.
• Strong track record building metrics-driven operating models focused on performance, risk management and continuous improvement.
• Experience leading operational transformation with process redesign, standardization, automation and control enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Lead sanctions-related blocking and rejection activities with a focus on risk culture across locations.
• Ensure timely and accurate regulatory reporting of blocked and rejected transactions.
• Oversee documentation standards, audit trails, and governance processes for sanctions actions.
• Drive operational excellence through workflow management, capacity planning, escalation handling and performance monitoring.
• Establish and monitor KPIs and KRIs to measure operational effectiveness and identify improvements.
• Lead strategic programs from planning through delivery, including governance and stakeholder management.
• Partner with Compliance, Operational Risk, Audit and Technology to identify control gaps and remediation plans.
• Develop operating model enhancements to improve efficiency, controls and scalability.
• Promote process redesign, standardization, automation and technology-enabled solutions.
