Job summary

Stringfellow Management Group, an Etherio Company, is seeking an Executive Director to support our client, the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI). This predominantly telecommuting position requires leadership of governance, strategy, and operations across education, conferences, and publications.

You will supervise a team, manage the annual $3 million budget, and collaborate with volunteers and government relations to advance the association’s mission and member value.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience, preferably in an association or nonprofit.
• Experience working with a volunteer Board and leaders.
• Knowledge of nonprofit governance and the staff-Board relationship.
• Experience budgeting, financial analysis, and resource allocation.
• Track record of developing and executing strategic plans and leading staff.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and public-speaking skills.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Serve as principal staff advisor to the Board, Executive Committee, and President.
• Translate strategic plans into measurable goals and monitor results.
• Lead a high-performing, collaborative team with accountability.
• Develop budget with the Board and maintain strong financial controls.
• Grow revenue through membership, education, conferences, sponsorships, and grants.
• Oversee education, training, certification, conferences, and publications.
