K2 Insurance Services, LLC is seeking an innovative Executive Director/President of Non-Standard Auto Insurance Products & MGA Operations in Dallas, TX. In this hybrid leadership role, you will own the lifecycle of our non-standard auto programs, driving profitability, growth, and regulatory compliance across multiple states.

You will bridge actuarial product design, carrier partnerships, delegated underwriting authority, and digital distribution to deliver sustained top-line GWP growth

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive leadership in P&C insurance
• Experience with non-standard auto insurance programs
• Experience with MGA environments or carrier partnerships
• Demonstrated success in product management, launches, and filings
• Strong knowledge of the Texas market preferred

Responsibilities

Executive Director / President of Non=Standard Auto Insurance Products & MGA Operations

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) / Chief Insurance Officer (CIO)

Position Summary

We are seeking an innovative, high-impact Executive of Non-Standard Auto Insurance Products & MGA Operations to lead our personal non-standard auto insurance portfolios. In this hybrid leadership role, you will own the entire lifecycle of our non-standard auto insurance products while driving the strategic goals of the business entity.

You will bridge the gap between traditional actuarial product design, carrier partnership management, delegated underwriting authority, and high-growth digital distribution. You are ultimately responsible for the profitability, top-line gross written premium (GWP) growth, risk governance, and regulatory compliance of our non-standard auto programs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Strategy & Lifecycle Management

• Portfolio Ownership: Define and execute the end-to-end product roadmap, pricing strategies, coverage enhancements, and rating plans for private passenger non-standard auto insurance lines.
• Market Intelligence: Continuously evaluate competitor landscapes, emerging mobility trends (e.g., telematics, EV repair costs, autonomous driving data), and consumer behavior shifts to secure a competitive market advantage.
• Profitability & Performance Analysis: Monitor loss ratios, frequency/severity trends, retention metrics, and expense ratios, adjusting product features and underwriting guidelines dynamically to hit targeted combined ratios.
• Risk & Underwriting Governance: Oversee delegated underwriting authority, binding guidelines, and risk appetite parameters to ensure alignment with our risk-bearing paper providers (carrier partners).
• Carrier Relationship Management: Serve as the primary executive sponsor with reinsurers and insurance carriers, negotiating program capacity, profit-sharing overriding commissions, quota shares, and binding contracts.
• Regulatory & Compliance Oversight: Ensure all product filings, forms, rates, and MGA operational frameworks strictly comply with state Department of Insurance (DOI) regulations.
• P&L Accountability: Manage the departmental budget, direct P&L program performance, and forecast revenue streams derived from commissions, fees, and underwriting performance bonuses.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Degrees in Economics/Finance and/or Actuarial Sciences or quantitative discipline are a plus.
• Experience:
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience within the property & casualty (P&C) insurance sector, with a deep hyper-focus on Non-Standard Auto Insuranceand program management.
• Proven track record in an MGA environment or working closely with capacity providers/carrier partners on program administration.
• Demonstrated success in product management, product launching, and rate/form filings across multiple states.
• Strong Knowledge of the Texas marketplace is strongly preferred.
