Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin seeks an Executive Director for the Patient Access Center to lead enterprise access transformation across ambulatory clinics, diagnostic services, and hospital-based care. You will design new access models using automation, AI, and digital plus human support, targeting improved access, experience, capacity, and revenue cycle outcomes.

Reporting to the COO, you will partner with physician leaders, IT, finance, and operations to scale innovations, build workforce

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Health Information Management, or related field.
• 10 years of progressively responsible healthcare operations, patient access, revenue cycle, contact center, ambulatory operations, or healthcare administration experience.
• 6 years directing managers and supervisors, including workflow or technology transformation.
• Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise patient access strategy and operations, aligning with growth, patient experience, and revenue cycle goals.
• Oversee scheduling, referral management, and access center operations with automation and digital tools.
• Direct revenue cycle front-end operations, including registration, insurance verification, clearance, and authorization.
• Drive innovation, automation, AI, and digital access solutions with cross-functional partners.
