Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) seeks a visionary chief executive to lead one of Oregon’s largest agencies. With a $6.1B biennial budget and ~4,800 employees, the director will set strategic priorities, oversee multimodal transportation programs, and partner with the governor, OTC, and legislature to advance policy and funding for the state.

Qualifications

• Twelve years of management experience including development of program rules, long- and short-range goals, program evaluation and budget preparation.
• Nine years of management experience including policy development, program evaluation and budget preparation.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for ODOT's operations, programs, budget and resources with focus on accountability, performance and results.
• Lead a workforce of thousands across Oregon and ensure effective administration of multimodal transportation systems.
• Represent ODOT with credibility and transparency before officials, partners and the public.
• Guide long‑term planning, innovation, safety, mobility, climate resilience and customer service across the agency.
