Job summary

The Governor's Office is recruiting an experienced, collaborative and visionary leader to serve as the director for the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) in Salem.

You will be the chief executive of a $6.1 billion biennial budget agency with about 4,800 employees, shaping a comprehensive multimodal transportation system that connects people and communities, supports Oregon's economy and keeps mobility safe and efficient.

Qualifications

• Twelve years of management experience in a public or private organization which included responsibility for development of program rules and policies, development of long- and short-range goals and plans, program evaluation, budget preparation.
• Nine years of management experience in a public or private organization which included responsibility for development of program rules and policies, development of long- and short-range goals and plans, program evaluation, budget preparation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Oregon Department of Transportation as chief executive with accountability for operations, programs, budget and resources.
• Establish strategic priorities and ensure effective administration of the multimodal transportation system.
• Foster collaboration with governor, OTC, legislature, local governments, tribes and stakeholders to advance transportation priorities.
