AIR Communities is seeking a Director, Investments to lead acquisition and disposition activity across its market coverage. This high-visibility role requires executive presence, rigorous judgment, and the ability to close complex deals with internal and external partners.

The position demands 7–10+ years in multifamily investments or related fields, strong relationships with brokers and capital partners, and a track record of disciplined execution in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 7–10+ years of multifamily investment, acquisitions or real estate private equity experience.
• Proven track record in valuation, underwriting, due diligence, negotiation, and closing.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and advance multifamily acquisition opportunities.
• Lead market coverage and develop broker/owner relationships across assigned markets.
• Drive dispositions including value opinions, marketing, buyer outreach, and closing.
• Coordinate underwriting, due diligence, and investment committee materials.
• Lead a team supporting underwriting and transaction execution.
• Negotiate LOIs and purchase agreements with internal and external stakeholders.
