MPI is seeking an Investments Associate, Multifamily to join a lean, entrepreneurial investment platform focused on multifamily housing. The role offers exposure to acquisitions, asset management, underwriting, and capital markets across a growing portfolio.

You will work directly with senior leadership, supporting a mix of existing assets, development projects, and new opportunities, with meaningful asset management early on and a shift toward acquisitions over time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Accounting, Business, or related field.
• Approximately 2-5 years of real estate acquisitions, investments, underwriting, asset management, brokerage, or institutional real estate.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models for acquisitions, developments, refinancings, and portfolio decisions.
• Analyze investment opportunities through market research, valuation modeling, scenario analysis, and returns assessments.
• Support due diligence and coordinate with lenders, brokers, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor asset performance and identify value creation opportunities.
• Assist with capital raising, financing, lender presentations, and investor reporting.
• Prepare investment memoranda, presentations, and analyses for leadership and investment committee.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and portfolio management initiatives.

Job Description

The Investments Associate, Multifamily will play a highly visible role supporting acquisitions, asset management, underwriting, and capital markets initiatives across a growing multifamily portfolio. This position offers direct exposure to senior leadership while providing the opportunity to work across existing assets, development projects, and new investment opportunities. In the near term, the role will have a meaningful asset management component while supporting an active transaction pipeline. As investment activity evolves, the position is expected to become increasingly acquisition-focused.

Reporting to the Head of Investments you will:

• Build and maintain detailed financial models for acquisitions, developments, refinancings, and strategic portfolio decisions.
• Analyze prospective investment opportunities through market research, valuation modeling, scenario analysis, and investment return assessments.
• Support due diligence efforts and coordinate with lenders, brokers, consultants, and internal stakeholders throughout the transaction process.
• Monitor asset performance, review operating and financial results against business plans, and identify opportunities to enhance value creation.
• Assist with capital raising initiatives, financing activities, lender presentations, and investor reporting requirements.
• Prepare investment memoranda, presentations, and executive-level analyses for leadership and investment committee review.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, business planning, asset strategy, and portfolio management initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

For the Investments Associate, Multifamily we are seeking:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• Approximately 2-5 years of experience within real estate acquisitions, investments, underwriting, asset management, brokerage, or institutional real estate.
• Multifamily experience strongly preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel modeling skills with a strong understanding of real estate financial analysis.
• Experience evaluating acquisitions, asset performance, capital structures, financing scenarios, and investment returns.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate analysis to senior stakeholders.
• A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly.
• An adaptable professional who is comfortable balancing strategic analysis with hands-on execution.
• Candidates from institutional real estate ownership groups, investment firms, private equity real estate platforms, or highly regarded brokerage organizations are particularly encouraged to apply.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
