Job summary

Cabrini Green Legal Aid (CGLA) in Chicago seeks an Executive Director to set strategy and drive impact. This leader will strengthen financial foundations while guiding fundraising, external relations, and staff development.

The role requires mission-driven leadership, strong governance experience, and the ability to work with a diverse set of partners. Hybrid in-person presence is expected in downtown Chicago.

Qualifications

• Established people management experience; prior Executive Director or comparable role preferred.
• Unwavering commitment to criminal justice reform and experience partnering with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience managing nonprofit budgets, cash flow, and financial oversight.
• Experience collaborating with volunteer boards and committees.

Responsibilities

• Set strategy for the next organizational phase and drive execution.

• Act as public face for fundraising efforts and donor engagement.
