Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin’s Dell Medical School seeks an Executive Director of Development for Major and Principal Gifts to lead a comprehensive philanthropy program, advancing patient care, research and education while partnering with senior leaders to set strategy and drive fundraising results.

You will manage a 60–80 donor portfolio, supervise a growing team of gift officers, and drive annual goals of $10M–$15M in support across UT Dell Medicine.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, nonprofit management, communications, public administration, or related field; equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead principal and major gift fundraising strategy and annual goal achievement.
• Develop multi-year fundraising strategies aligned to priorities.
• Oversee portfolios of 60–80 donors and manage donor data.
• Lead and mentor a team of gift officers and staff.
• Collaborate with philanthropy operations and CRM for reporting and stewardship.
