Job summary

The National MS Society seeks an Executive Director for the Northeast Region (Greater NYC-Long Island Chapter). This role leads major gifts programs, corporate partnerships, and peer-to-peer fundraising, and serves as chief representative to donors and volunteers.

Regular travel is required (50%), with in-person attendance and remote work options. The position offers a competitive compensation range of $160,000–$180,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Proven nonprofit leadership experience with increasing responsibility.
• Track record securing multi-six to seven-figure gifts.
• Experience using AI, predictive analytics, and CRM tools for fundraising.
• Ability to lead geographically dispersed teams in remote/hybrid settings.

Responsibilities

• Generate leads and develop major gifts, corporate partnerships, and peer-to-peer fundraising.
• Build and mobilize a high-performing Board of Trustees and volunteer leaders.
• Lead frontline fundraising within assigned markets to meet revenue goals.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize local and regional fundraising execution.
