Job summary

CIBC seeks an Executive Director/Managing Director to lead end-to-end leveraged loan operations, overseeing origination, underwriting, closing and portfolio servicing. You will build scalable processes, govern new products, and manage vendor relationships with partners across risk, legal, finance, and technology.

You will guide a high-performing team, drive efficiencies, and align activities with strategic growth while ensuring strong execution in a complex market environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in capital markets operations, preferably leveraged finance, at a global bank.
• Proven leadership experience coaching and building high-performing teams.
• Experience scaling infrastructure for a capital markets business line with strong controls.
• Ability to influence across business, risk, legal, finance and technology teams.
• Demonstrates ownership, initiative and delivery beyond expectations.
• Degree or diploma in business, finance, economics, accounting, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end lifecycle for leveraged loan transactions from origination to portfolio servicing.
• Oversee third-party vendor relationships and support capital and funding optimization.
• Guide new product governance and approval activities with strong controls.
• Shape operating model and drive continuous improvement for scalable processes.
• Develop and empower a high-performing team aligned to strategic growth.
