Job summary

Fifth Third Bank in New York, NY is seeking a CIB Managing Director – Loan Capital Markets to lead the syndication desk, bridge Originations and the Loan Sales and Trading desk, and drive risk-aware underwriting for high-yield opportunities.

You will build relationships with corporate clients, PE sponsors, and investors, mentor teams, and shape strategy across syndicated leveraged finance while navigating complex capital markets transactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in Banking, Investment Banking or Capital Markets.
• Securities licenses: SIE, Series 79, Series 63; Series 24 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be a subject matter expert on high-yield markets and deal execution end-to-end.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal bankers and external clients.
• Develop strategies that drive results across the Loan Capital Markets team.
• Lead evaluation and execution of complex capital markets transactions in high-yield loans and bonds.
• Provide training and resources to senior bankers and leadership teams.
• Develop relationships with peers and high-yield investors across markets.
• May supervise staff and provide performance feedback and development opportunities.
