Job summary

San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Leadership SLO, seeks an Executive Director to guide strategic direction, fundraising, and operational excellence. The role balances Leadership SLO leadership (80%) with Chamber initiatives (20%), ensuring a high-quality 10-month program and vibrant alumni engagement.

You will lead budgeting, donor cultivation, program delivery, and cross-organizational collaboration to advance shared goals and regional impact in San Luis Obispo County.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in nonprofit, civic, educational, or mission-driven settings preferred.
• Demonstrated success building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations in alignment with mission and goals.
• Coordinate governance with Board and committees; provide reporting and board onboarding.
• Develop annual fund strategy including sponsorships and donor engagement.
• Represent Leadership SLO and Chamber to donors, partners and community leaders.
• Collaborate with Chamber CEO to plan and execute programs and events.
