The Gallatin History Museum in Bozeman, Montana seeks an experienced Executive Director to lead a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to preserving, sharing, and bringing to life the rich history of Gallatin County.

Located in the historic county jail at 317 West Main Street, the ED will provide financial leadership, guide a budget around $275,000, and oversee operations, staff, and volunteers while building partnerships with donors and the community.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the financial health of the nonprofit and read and understand financial statements.
• Work with the Board to prepare and monitor the annual operating budget (approx. $275,000).
• Identify fundraising strategies and build relationships with donors, grants, memberships, and sponsors.
• Provide day-to-day leadership, manage staff and volunteers, and ensure programs and operations run smoothly.
