Job summary

STATION DC, in partnership with Capital Factory, seeks an Executive Director to lead strategic vision and partnerships at the nation's center of power in Washington, D.C. This role drives revenue, shapes policy engagement, and steers a mission-driven team toward national tech leadership.

The ideal candidate will unite founders, policymakers, and investors, while expanding the STATION DC community and impact through high-profile programming and executive outreach.

Qualifications

• Executive leadership in a nonprofit or mission-driven org.
• Fundraising and relationship-building with seven-figure commitments.
• Experience navigating complex stakeholder environments including government and industry.
• Ability to document processes and use AI tools to scale operations.
• Strong planning, adaptability, and DC-based coordination.
• Storytelling to attract investment and influence policy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a high-stakes strategic plan advancing frontier technologies across defense and policy.
• Build executive-level partnerships with Pentagon, Capitol Hill, and Silicon Valley.
• Drive revenue strategy to secure over $1.5M annually in funding.
• Recruit startups, Tier 1 investors, and mentors into the STATION community.
• Advocate for innovation with policymakers to protect national competitiveness.
• Curate high-value programming and meetings to enable high-profile visits.
• Foster a high-performance, mission-driven culture with strong retention.
