Job summary

Capital Factory partners with STATION DC to seek an Executive Director who will lead a national tech hub at the nation’s capital. You will build elite partnerships across defense, policy, and industry, and drive funding growth while shaping programming and community engagement.

The role requires a proven executive with fundraising prowess, multi-million budget oversight, and the ability to attract top startups, mentors, and investors. A visionary leader is essential for national impact.

Qualifications

• Executive-level leadership experience (MD, ED, or VP) within a nonprofit or mission-driven org.
• Strong fundraising and relationship-building ability, able to close seven-figure commitments.
• Ability to navigate Pentagon, Capitol Hill, and Silicon Valley stakeholder environments.
• Experience turning chaos into scalable processes with AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a strategic plan to advance frontier technologies in defense, energy, and health.
• Build executive relationships with government and industry leaders to bridge builders and policymakers.
• Lead revenue strategy to secure over $1.5M in annual funding via grants and multi-year partnerships.
• Recruit high-growth startups, Tier 1 investors, and elite mentors into the STATION community.
• Advocate for innovation and influence tech-friendly policy at the national level.
• Curate high-value programming and signature events to attract visits and collaborations.
• Cultivate a high-performance, mission-driven culture and strong team engagement.
