Job summary

Barnstable Housing Authority (BHA) seeks an experienced and innovative Executive Director to lead and oversee its programs, properties and contracts with state, federal and local entities. The BHA owns and operates multiple housing units and manages vouchers and RAP projects, requiring strong leadership and fiscal acumen.

The Executive Director will oversee a portfolio including elderly and disabled housing, congregate facilities, numerous voucher programs and the Rental Acquisition Program,

Qualifications

Six years experience in public or private housing or related field with strong management skills.
At least three years supervisory experience of a staff of seven or more.
Excellent written and verbal communication with local officials, boards, residents, and funding agencies.
Experience with local, state, and federal housing procedures desirable but not required; may be substituted by high-level business experience.
Certification as a property manager desirable or must be obtained within the first year of employment.
