Job summary

Inova Fairfax Hospital is seeking a Senior Director of Facilities Support Services to provide strategic and operational leadership for the hospital's physical environment and support services, ensuring a safe, secure, efficient, and patient-centered environment.

The role oversees environmental services, food services, patient transportation, security, facilities maintenance, and patient safety, while managing staff, budgets, compliance, quality metrics, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 5 years of related experience.
• Bachelor's degree in related field (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

• Oversee department to ensure effective performance and strategic plan execution.
• Handle preventive maintenance orders and Nurse Call System inspections.
• Monitor security staff professionalism and investigate complaints.
• Manage hospital food service program and conduct patient satisfaction surveys.
• Operate Transport Service according to policies and meet KPI goals.
• Ensure consistent customer and patient satisfaction through safety reporting.
• Recruit, hire, train staff and set KPI-based performance standards.
• Identify educational and training needs and implement plans.
• Coordinate annual budgets where applicable.
• Pursue Lean opportunities using the Inova Operating System.
