Job summary

Mercy in Fort Smith, AR, seeks an executive leader to oversee hospital, clinic, and service line operations. You’ll partner with physicians and senior leaders to drive strategic growth, financial performance, quality outcomes, and patient experience.

You will lead budgeting, resource planning, and major initiatives while mentoring leaders and ensuring compliance with Joint Commission standards. Cardiology experience is a plus as Mercy continues to advance patient care and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience.
• Experience collaborating with physicians and executive leaders.
• Cardiology experience preferred.
• Strong strategic, operational, financial, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning, service line growth, and major organizational initiatives.
• Partner with Medical Directors to develop regional centers of excellence.
• Provide oversight and support to department leaders across hospital and clinic operations.
• Drive operational performance, quality, patient safety, and customer service improvements.
• Lead budgeting, resource allocation, and long-term planning efforts.
• Mentor and develop leaders while promoting engagement, recruitment, and retention.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, regulatory, and organizational standards.
• Champion LEAN principles and continuous process improvement.
• Foster collaboration across departments, providers, and executive leadership.
