Job summary

Paramount Health Options in Cedar Rapids, IA seeks an Executive Director to provide strategic leadership across PHO and affiliated entities, aligning payer contracting, network development, and regulatory compliance with organizational goals.

The role drives financial stewardship, governance support, and staff leadership to advance quality, access, and member satisfaction while partnering with Mercy Medical Center and the governing boards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive executive leadership in healthcare organizations (PHO, CIN, MSO, ACO, IPA or similar).
• Experience leading payer contracting across commercial, Medicare and Medicaid.
• Experience with provider network strategy, credentialing, enrollment and provider relations.
• Proven financial management skills: budgeting, forecasting, reporting and investment oversight.
• Experience working with boards and executive committees, providing strategic recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead payer contracting strategy, negotiations, renewals and performance oversight.
• Oversee provider network development, credentialing, enrollment and provider relations.
• Manage organizational financial performance, budgeting, reporting, and resource stewardship.
• Support Board and committee governance with clear reporting and strategic recommendations.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (regulatory, payer, NCQA, HIPAA) with focus on quality improvement.
• Lead staff, strengthen operational processes, and drive service excellence and member satisfaction.
