Job summary
Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking an Executive Director, Systems Software Development to lead strategy, development, delivery, quality, productivity, and lifecycle support for the systems software technologies across Toshiba's global retail hardware platforms.
The role directs a global, multi-level engineering organization responsible for Linux, SKY, and Android OS solutions, drivers, SDKs, diagnostics, and system images, with a focus on automation and AI-enabled engineering
Qualifications
- 15+ years in software or systems software development.
- 10+ years of technical and organizational leadership.
- 5+ years in an executive engineering leadership role.
- Experience leading distributed engineering teams.
- Strong OS, drivers, diagnostics, and SDK knowledge.
- Ability to translate strategy into roadmaps and deliverables.
- Proven AI, automation, DevOps, and CI/CD implementation experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategy and lifecycle for Toshiba's systems software portfolio.
- Direct global engineering organizations across Linux, Android, and drivers.
- Drive AI-enabled engineering capabilities and automation across lifecycle.
- Ensure predictable execution of product development and deployments.
- Maintain high-quality software delivery and customer satisfaction.
