Job summary

Dow Jones Energy seeks an Executive Director to lead the Syngas Chemicals Markets Research & Analysis. You will direct primary research on methanol, ammonia and hydrogen markets and oversee forecasting while engaging with industry events and clients.

You will build relationships with producers, consumers, traders and the financial community, driving strategic analyses and revenue opportunities across global markets. Strong leadership and data skills are required.

Qualifications

• 15+ years’ chemical industry experience in methanol, ammonia, hydrogen and derivatives; including market intelligence and/or strategic planning.
• Experience managing 10+ direct reports and mentoring senior experts.
• Ability to articulate core issues in complex problems and deliver insights.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Direct primary research on the global syngas chemicals market (methanol, ammonia, hydrogen).
• Oversee price forecasting and communicate forecast messages internally and externally.
• Lead engagement with industry events, media, clients, and internal stakeholders.
• Build industry relationships across producers, consumers, traders and financial community.
• Collaborate with sales to identify opportunities for consulting engagements.
• Develop market presentations for client meetings and conferences.
