Job summary

Texas A&M University is seeking an Executive Director of Global Programs & Education Abroad in College Station, TX. This senior leader will guide Education Abroad, Global Programs, Risk Management & Compliance and help shape international education across the university.

The role focuses on faculty engagement, program development, and advancing the university’s internationalization goals through strategic initiatives and partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Ten years of progressively responsible experience in higher education, including at least five years in international higher education leadership.
• Preferred terminal degree or progress toward terminal degree in higher education or related field.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key member of the Global Engagement leadership team and deputy to the AVP.
• Develop and implement innovative global programs aligned with institutional priorities.
• Drive strategic planning, risk management, and assessment of international initiatives.
• Lead special projects to advance strategic priorities and opportunities.
• Represent Global Engagement on university committees and external partnerships.
• Collaborate with College/School leadership, International Advisory Board, and centers to advance priorities.
• Foster collaboration across academic units to achieve international goals.
