Job summary

Texas A&M University seeks an Executive Director of Global Programs & Education Abroad to lead Education Abroad, Global Programs, Risk Management & Compliance and overarching internationalization efforts. The role partners with senior leadership to shape programs, engage faculty, and advance strategic priorities across colleges and centers.

The executive will guide program assessment, foster intercultural collaboration, and manage complex international initiatives with a focus on student

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.
10 years of progressively responsible experience in higher education.
At least five years of direct leadership experience in international higher education roles.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex international programs and lead teams.
Experience with strategic planning, risk management, and program assessment.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills including intercultural competence.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Guides development and implementation of innovative global programs and priorities.
Education Abroad & Program Development: Oversees Education Abroad operations, design, and student support.
Faculty Collaboration & Engagement: Develops initiatives like COIL and scholarship programs.
Risk Management & Compliance: Ensures compliance and risk strategies for international programs.
