Job summary

Social Capital Initiatives in New York seeks an Executive Director to own strategy, fundraising, and organizational leadership, guiding its growth from regional impact to global scale.

You will partner with the Founder/President and the Board to refresh strategy, diversify major donors, foundations, and government funding, and build a high‑performing, globally distributed team with strong governance and accountability.

Qualifications

• Fundraising experience with major donors, foundations, and government funding sources.
• Proven leadership in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations.
• Experience working with a Board of Directors and diverse, global teams.
• Strong financial and operational management skills.
• Excellent public speaking and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Responsibilities

• Fundraising & Resource Development: drive major donor cultivation and diversified funding streams.
• Strategy & Vision: refresh and execute the organization’s strategy with measurable growth.
• Partnerships & External Engagement: expand SoCCs programs through new collaborations.
• Board & Stakeholder Relations: manage relationships with the Board, advisors, and donors.
• Organizational Leadership: build and scale a global, high-performing team.
• Operational & Financial Stewardship: strengthen infrastructure and sustainability.
