Job summary

JPMorgan Chase in New York seeks an Applied AI ML Executive Director to lead the design, build, and scale of Generative AI capabilities across the Chief Data and Analytics Office. You will guide a team delivering production systems and partner with senior stakeholders to drive enterprise-scale transformation.

You will shape reusable services, establish rigorous governance, and balance speed with reliability to enable scalable AI across the organization.

Qualifications

• PhD in CS or related field with 8+ years of relevant experience, or MS with 12+ years
• Formal training or certification in applied AI/ML concepts
• Proven track record deploying AI/ML applications into production environments at scale, including reliability, monitoring, and lifecycle management
• Strong understanding of AI/ML fundamentals, experimental design, evaluation methods, and data analysis techniques
• Experience with distributed computing patterns for model training, serving, and state persistence
• Demonstrated ability to design systems with user feedback loops to refine agent behavior
• Experience leading AI/ML teams delivering complex outcomes with cross-functional partners
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end Generative AI and agentic AI solutions with measurable business outcomes
• Lead the design and delivery of multi-agent systems that decompose complex problems and orchestrate tasks at scale
• Translate business objectives into robust AI/ML product and platform capabilities balancing speed, reliability, and security
• Build reusable frameworks, libraries, and services for model development, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring
• Establish production engineering rigor across AI/ML delivery, including observability, runbooks, and incident readiness
• Partner with stakeholders to identify high-value opportunities, define success metrics, and scale solutions
• Mentor and develop a high-performing AI/ML team, fostering technical excellence and continuous learning
• Drive governance for experimentation and evaluation to improve agent behavior over time
