Job summary

The Marine Credit Union Foundation (MCUF) seeks an Executive Director to provide strategic leadership, overseeing all operations and advancing the MCUF mission. You will manage planning, fundraising, community engagement, personnel, board liaison, and fiscal stewardship.

Responsibilities include fundraising initiatives, grant writing, events, program development, public relations, and ensuring growth of programs like Finding HOME in collaboration with MCU leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or public Administration with a minimum of 3 years related experience in administration of volunteer, nonprofit, or public service agency preferred.
• Proven success in fundraising initiatives, grant writing, event planning, and/or program development preferred.
• Strong skills in fiscal management, resource development and maintenance, and public relations preferred.
• Experience working with volunteers and donors and possess strong public speaking and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement time-oriented strategic plans to advance MCUF’s mission.
• Oversee fundraising, event planning, fund investments, community awareness, promotion and publicity, and participation.
• Oversee and manage Foundation policies and procedures.
• Collaborate closely with MCU leadership to align community outreach with community goals.
• Oversee and expand the Foundation's financial literacy program, Finding HOME, and future programs.
• Research and prepare grant proposals and other funding applications.
• Develop and maintain a donor base for monetary and non-monetary resources.
• Coordinate public relations to recruit donors and increase public awareness.
• Oversee press releases and media follow-up; participate in public speaking engagements.
• Prepare monthly and annual staff evaluations; coach and develop staff; coordinate Board meetings; implement Board directives.
