Job summary

Feiro Marine Life Center seeks an experienced development leader to guide donor engagement and grow fundraising to support key initiatives. The Director of Development will shape a multi-year strategy, supervise a diverse team, and expand major gifts, grants, and corporate giving while advancing organizational impact on youth and community programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of proven experience directing non-profit development operations.
• Minimum 5 years of demonstrated ability to connect with individual donors and organizations.
• Minimum 2 year of staff management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and donor database programs.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute development strategy outlining income, sources, goals, and strategy for fundraising needs of more than $2.5 million annually.
• Develop a three-year giving strategy with measurable outcomes.
• Supervise development team including the Volunteer and Food Service Manager, Marketing and Communications Manager, and Development Coordinator.
• Grow monthly giving and workplace campaign strategies.
• Develop Major and Mid-level Donor plans and manage a portfolio of donors.
• Develop and execute a planned giving strategy.
• Build upon grants program—research, schedule, and execute grants.
• Work with the Executive Director to increase Board fundraising capacity.
• Support reports in developing annual communications and marketing plans and refine messaging.
• Expand corporate, organizational, and church-based giving programs.
• Develop and execute events including at least one major fundraiser each year.
• Create annual budget proposal and funding plan with Finance.
• Streamline fundraising processes throughout the year.
